The volume reseller and distributor partner program is for partners that resell all or part of the Business
Objects product suite and derive their primary revenue from license sales. These partners include organizations
that are primary distributors or master resellers in particular regions or countries. The geographical presence
of these partners is complementary to that of Business Objects and their work with resellers provides breadth
for selling our products and services.
The VAR partner program is for partners who offer customized solutions - essentially a combination of domain,
vertical, or application expertise that includes Business Objects technology. VAR partners focus mainly on driving
license revenue through the resale of all or part of the Business Objects product suite. These partners also offer
professional services to support the deployment of our technology.
Achievement Levels
Within each partnership category, there is a range of achievement levels:

program, partners can increase their achievement level (and benefits) by meeting specified goals over time.
